REIKI

reiki hands2Usi Sensi System of Reiki:  The word Reiki is made up of two parts: Rei which means universal and Ki which means life force energy.

When the physical body allows the stress and negative emotions to build up over time without releasing the energy blocks, the energy flow can become so stagnated that the body cannot fight illness, resulting in many different ailments from migraines, ulcers, fibromyalgia to cancer.   When the flow of life force energy is free from obstruction, the physical body is in balance.

Since our physical bodies have the ability to heal themselves, it is necessary to keep the body in balance to allow the healing to take place. Blockages in the energy fields that flow through the subtle body prevent the body from its natural ability to heal.

Reiki is a technique provided by a reiki practitioner that assists the physical body in healing by removing energy blocks caused by stress and negative emotions. The Reiki practitioner draws upon the universal source of energy and acts as a conduit to channel that energy into the client. The universal energy works with the client’s energy to remove negative energy blocks, allowing the energy flow to move freely through the body and giving the physical body a chance to heal on its own.  During a reiki session, the client is fully clothed and relaxed on a massage table.    The reiki practitioner will place their hands lightly upon or within the client’s energy fields and work with the client’s energies to clear any energy blocks.  This process will allow the client’s energy to flow more freely so the body can use its own innate ability to heal itself.   Reiki can raise self-awareness in open minded individuals which can help bring a person’s mind body connection to a balanced state of wholeness.

Reiki cannot be misused or harm you in any way, but can only heal all it touches and is guided to areas where it is needed most.  It is a simple, natural and safe method of healing and self-improvement. It has been effective in helping many illnesses and is a perfect complement to many other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.  Reiki can be used in any situation where there is a desire for and openness to healing.  It is increasingly being utilized in hospitals and wellness centers throughout the world and Reiki volunteer programs are becoming recognized as viable accompaniment programs with traditional western therapies.
